RELOCATION INFORMATION

We always celebrate the opportunity to welcome new families to Charlotte and assist them in the daunting task of finding just the right home!

Our approach is three-pronged:

  • We provide exhaustive research into available properties based on the priorities identified by that particular family;
  • We assist with the physical and structural evaluation of potential purchases, providing consultation on potential repairs and renovations, pass on our subcontractor/builder contacts and discounts for paint/lawn maintenance/cleaning and other services; and generally ease the relocation process.
  • We handle all aspects of the search and transaction from interviewing and recommending selling agents for the client’s current home, to finding just the right new home, to handling all aspects of the purchase process.

Families who are moving to Charlotte from another area have needs that extend beyond those of local clients.  Of course, they are seeking the perfect home and neighborhood for their family and one that is a sound investment.  At the same time, they have jobs and responsibilities in their current locations and must often concentrate their searches into a few days or weekends.  In addition to these challenges, new families must try to make sense of unfamiliar community and neighborhood dynamics.  Although we have lived here for years, our owner/broker and agents have also moved to Charlotte from other places and know what relocation is like.

Our company is especially well positioned to streamline the relocation process for out-of-town clients. In addition to our intensive research into potential properties, and our knowledge of both new construction and resale homes,  we work closely with the General Contractor and owner of our sister company Southern Classic Custom Homes, LLC.  He was born and raised in Charlotte and can provide valuable insight into commute times, school districts, and other aspects of living in or near the city.  More importantly, he participates with us in the screening process and, when a home is identified for a potential offer, can walk the home either with or without the client to determine structural integrity and pinpoint strengths and weaknesses.  At this time, or after the closing, he can discuss renovation options.

Our approach is to structure the buying process to take the minimum amount of time from our buyers’ work and home life.  We do 90% of the work.  SCCH Realty handles all the research involved in finding the right home based on the clients’ identified priorities.  We preview  homes before taking clients to see those that meet their criteria, make sure they are structurally sound, handle the contract process from start to finish, work with lenders and the closing attorneys, order surveys, attend all home inspections on behalf of the clients, help get utility services ready, and more.  This makes us a true turn key service provider.
